For a while now we’ve only heard one side of the story.  Manny’s side, or should I say, Bob Arums side.  Now we finally hear the other side of the story, when Floyd Mayweather finally called out Manny Pacquiao.  It is a lovely day for boxing fans, if these two princesses can actually make this fight happen.  Who knows which side of the story is really true, as its probably a little bit of both.  At this point, does it really matter?  The answer is no, because we have been waiting for this way too long.  Both fighters can say whatever they want, we all know its a money issue.

Its no secret that Manny Pacquiao’s PPV numbers are down.  He’s had 2 very tough to swallow defeats, even tho one was a complete robbery.  Never the less, it was still a loss.  So even if Mayweather gets his wish of a 70/30 purse split, would that be so terrible for Manny Pacquiao?  No, because including PPV revenue, it will still be a monstrous payday.  According to Mayweather, Bob Arum is the sole reason why him and Pacman have not fought yet.  He offered 40 million dollars for it, which was turned down.  Then Manny said he would do the fight for free.  Was that just a ploy to make the Mayweather camp look bad?  Sure does seem like it, if he’s asking for even more money now.  So lets say Manny agrees to whatever Floyd wants.  Will Floyd start asking for random drugs tests again?  Is May 2nd finally the date of this Mega Fight?  What happens if Canelo won’t give up the date?  There are still way too many questions to be answered.  I know its exciting to hear Mayweather say what he did, but I’m waiting for the contracts to be signed.  Until then, we still don’t have any answers.
