Former junior middleweight champion Austin “No Doubt” Trout (30-2, 17 KO’s) defeated Joey “Twinkle Fingers” Hernandez (24-4-1, 14 KO’s) last night on Premier Boxing Champions on Fox Sports 1.  Trout said this was a must win for him to get back into the title hunt.  Hernandez said this was a must win for him so that he doesn’t become just an opponent, but rather a title contender as well.

This fight was at a catch weight of 156 pounds, and Hernandez re-hydrated back up to 175.  It would prove to be a bad idea, as Trout would work the body to test it.  Throughout the whole fight, Hernandez could not find Trout and began to grow increasingly frustrated.  He even body slammed Trout and got a point taken away.  In the 6th round, Trout continued to pepper Hernandez body, with wicked shots, and would eventually put hi  down with a huge left to the body.  Hernandez would not answer the 10 count, and it goes down as a KO victory for Austin Trout.
