Last night on HBO PPV, Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao (58-6-2, 38 KO’s) defeated Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley (33-2-1, 13 KO’s), and captured the vacant WBO International Welterweight title.  Also, Arthur Abraham (44-5, 29 KO’s) lost the WBO Super Middleweight title to Gilberto Ramirez (34-0, 24 KO’s),  Oscar Valdez (19-0, 18 KO’s) defeated Evgeny Gradovich (21-2-1, 9 KO’s), and Jose Ramirez (17-0, 12 KO’s) defeated Manny Perez (22-12-1, 6 KO’s).

Last night was definitely not Timothy Bradley’s night, even with having new head trainer Teddy Atlas in his corner.  The fight started off very slow for the first 2 rounds, that could have been scored either way, or even could have been scored 10-10 rounds, with neither fighter doing much of anything, except feeling out his opponent.  Both rounds were given to Pacquiao because he landed 2 more punches in the first, and 1 more in the second.  Bradley would adjust and win the third round, but not much more, as it was all down hill from there.  After the 3rd round Pacquiao would continuously find a home for his straight left hand, which just so happened to be Tim Bradley’s face.

Pacquiao continued to push the action throughout the rest of the fight, showing signs of the old Manny with his blazing nomination punching, and power.  Pacquiao his Bradley with a quick hook in the 7th round, while Bradley was off balance, and his gloves touched the canvas, which by rule is a knockdown.  Bradley didn’t seem too hurt, it was just a perfect punch at a perfect time.  In the 9th however, after a flurry of punches, Pacquaio would connect with a strong left that sent Bradley tumbling across the ring.  That would pretty much seal the deal, as the Pacman was now well ahead on the scorecards.  At the end of 12, all 3 judges had the same score of 116-110 in favor of Pacquiao, as the Pilipino warrior concludes their trilogy, and perhaps his career in style.
